About Bailey L. Lee, M.D.
Dr. Bailey Lee was born and raised in Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan, graduating with the highest distinction with a Bachelor of Science degree in cellular and molecular biology. Then he completed his medical training at the University of Michigan Medical School, where he graduated cum laude. Dr. Lee was elected to the undergraduate honorary society Phi Beta Kappa, and the medical honorary society Alpha Omega Alpha, while in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His professional training continued with an ophthalmology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and then a surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Prior to joining the Houston Eye Associates, Dr. Lee was in the academic arena where he was the Director of the Retina Service at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Department of Ophthalmology. He has published several papers and chapters in books and is in numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Ophthalmological Association, Houston Ophthalmological Society, the Vitreous Society, and the Retina Society.
Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife Shirley, and two boys, Christian and Justin.
