About Jeffery B. Arnoult, M.D.
Dr. Jeffery B. Arnoult was born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1951. In his formative years, he was sure he would be the quarterback for the Ole Miss Rebels, but that was not to be. He and his family moved from Jackson to Beaumont, Texas in 1960, where his mother still lives. His brother Tim is a big wig with Bank of America and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Arnoult graduated from high school in Beaumont and then attended the University of Texas in Austin where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and then spent one year in internal medicine at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. He returned to Houston and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas and the Hermann Eye Center. He then did a fellowship (subspecialty training) in strabismus at the Hermann Eye Center (1980-1981). He completed a fellowship in glaucoma at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts (1990-1991). During this fellowship, Dr. Arnoult worked extensively with lasers and was involved in clinical research.
Dr. Arnoult is board-certified in Ophthalmology and for 10 years was an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Texas Medical School. Dr. Arnoult specializes in glaucoma, cataract surgery, and refractive surgery. He has extensive experience with LASIK and has been performing this procedure since April 1996.
Dr. Arnoult has a lovely wife, Susan, and 3 beautiful children, Lindsey, Blake, and Matthew. He is very proud of his family and if you are not careful, he will tell you more than you want to hear about them.
Although Dr. Arnoult's schedule is very busy, he tries his best to give each patient the time and the concern they deserve. We all work very hard to stay on schedule.
Now that you know our doctor better, we hope you will feel confident and relaxed when you visit us. That’s the way we want it.
