Dr. Kaylie Young grew up in Pearland, Texas fascinated by eyes. At the young age of 16, she began her optometry career as an optometric technician and optician for 5 years. During this time, she attended Pearland High School and then completed her undergraduate studies in 2016 at Houston Baptist University where she achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She then accomplished a Doctor of Optometry with Cum Laude honors from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2020.
Her clinical rotations included a private MD/OD practice, KDW Eye Consultants, and the San Antonio Veterans Affairs Eye Clinic. Her externships focused on family eye care, ocular/brain trauma, and surgery co-management. She worked for a private practice in Willowbrook and The Woodlands for 2 years, practicing fast-paced primary optometry, treating ocular emergencies, and co-managing LASIK/cataract surgery.
She is a Texas licensed and board-certified therapeutic optometrist at our Conroe location accepting new patients 5 to 100 years old with a smile. Whether your appointment leads to glasses, contacts, or another recommendation, Dr. Young’s mission is simple: to keep your eyes young.
After work, you can find Dr. Young with her husband, family, and friends dancing and staying active, trying out new restaurants, or enjoying a pizza and movie night.
