About Tamara M. Conatser, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Tammy Conatser was born and raised in Indiana, she completed her undergraduate at Ball State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Arts in Biology. She then went on and completed her Doctor of Optometry in 1995 from the University of Houston.
Upon graduation, Dr. Conatser completed a family practice residency followed by a senior residency where she rotated through Houston ophthalmology practices including pediatrics at Baylor, glaucoma, retina, and oculoplastic clinics. In 1997 she joined an ophthalmology clinic where she worked as a glaucoma specialist with Dr. Price Jenkins and Dr. Fish until 2012.
In 2012, Dr. Conatser took a sabbatical and accompanied her husband for his work to Australia where they resided for four years. Upon her return from Australia, she joined Houston Eye Associates.
Along with being an Optometrist, Dr. Conatser has served as a clinical doctor on numerous trips to El Salvador, Fiji, Belize, and American Samoa with the Benevolent Missions International Organization. She also serves as the current tournament director of the charity tennis tournament within the organization. Additionally, Dr. Conatser is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family which includes a twin son and daughter, traveling, and playing tennis.
Dr. Conatser has over 26 years of experience in Optometry, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and is well-versed in diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders of the eye and visual system and serves as an optometric glaucoma specialist.
Dr. Conatser sees patients at The Woodlands location.
