About Timmy A. Kovoor, M.D.
Dr. Timmy A. Kovoor was born and raised in Texas. He graduated from Houston’s Eisenhower High School as the valedictorian. Dr. Kovoor graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry as well as minors in Biology and Business Administration. He then received his medical doctorate (MD) and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Afterward, he completed a fellowship in Corneal Disorders, External Ocular Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at the renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. He has published multiple research articles and has also presented his research at the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Meeting.
Dr. Kovoor is a board-certified ophthalmologist and leading surgeon who is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Texas Medical Association, and the Harris County Medical Society. Outside of work, Dr. Kovoor enjoys spending time with his family, especially the ladies of his life...his wife and two daughters.
Dr. Timmy A. Kovoor specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, LASIK/refractive surgery, corneal disorders and transplantation, and the treatment of retinal disorders like macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
